Sure, they’re stick-thin and obsessed with their weight — but models aren’t anti-food.
In fact, many top runway stars love to eat so much that they’ve become self-appointed ambassadors for healthy living.
Their ranks are growing:

British mannequin Jourdan Dunn — who walked in dozens of fashion shows during Fashion Week, including Tommy Hilfiger, Jason Wu and Chanel — has her own cooking show on YouTube called “Well Dunn.”
Model-of-the-moment (and one of Taylor Swift’s BFFs) Karlie Kloss from St. Louis has her own line of cookies — cookies! — called Karlie’s Kookies at Momofuko Milk Bar.

Model Danielle Copperman — roommates with runway star Sam Rollinson — even has her own website dedicated to beautiful girls who love to eat called Model Mange Tout, a French term that roughly translates to “Model Eats Everything.” The goal, she says, is “to help change female perspectives on eating well and keeping fit.”
And Victoria’s Secret model Doutzen Kroes, Ralph Lauren campaign favorite Andreea Diaconu and many more catwalkers love sharing photos of their breakfast smoothies and salads on their various social media feeds, especially photo-friendly Instagram.
“People assume that models starve themselves,” says Dale Noelle, a former model who is now a health coach. But models like Dunn and Kloss are helping to dispel the stigma of waifish models who think eating is for the weak.

“Fashion models can also be role models,” says Noelle. “It’s okay to eat and be a model with a thriving career.”
The key is to eat smart. The goal is to counter naysayers like Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, who told Women’s Wear Daily last month that models are “not healthy” because “they are just really thin.”

“I go to the gym and I try to eat healthy,” Vonn said. “I think that’s a better model for girls to look up to than skinny people who need to eat more.”
Kloss agrees — so have a cookie.

Her treat recipe came about after the Coach model met Christina Tosi from Momofuku Milk Bar. Their mutual love of baking led to Karlie’s Kookies, which are infused with almond flour, gluten-free oats, agave and toasted almonds.
“I love baking and looking for ways to incorporate healthy ingredients into my recipes,” Kloss tells the News. “We spent hours in the kitchen experimenting with different ingredients to find a cookie recipe that went beyond just substituting sugar with agave.”
Nowadays, if you follow top hotties like Kloss and Dunn on Instagram, you can basically plan out a full day’s healthy menu. Start the day with Kroes’ green smoothie, snack on Kloss’ cookies in the afternoon, and make Lara Stone’s Atkins-friendly beef salad for dinner.

One positive side affect: It’s refreshing to read about size-0 women indulging in avocado spreads and beef rather than actresses who dubiously claim to love spaghetti and pizza — like when Christina Ricci told the Huffington Post she can eat at “McDonald’s three times in one day.”
Copperman, who is also a certified nutritionist, regularly posts recipes for things like blueberry-buckwheat crepes and Brussels sprout tarts, and hand-picks green juices to seek out in New York. Plus, she loves sharing tips on what to eat throughout the day.
“I always have raw almonds or cashews and some green tea bags with me,” says Copperman. “I snack on blueberries, raw vegetables, green juice, coconut water or kale chips, along with a bottle of water with fresh lemon.”
Still, just because these models have embraced superfoods doesn’t mean they’re superhuman.
As Copperman admits, “I miss bread more than anything.”
