This year, it seems that Halloween-mania has reached an apex, with pre-celebrations starting weeks in advance (pumpkin spice arrived on our desks right after Labor Day). This has been accompanied by a backlash of sorts, with stars like Lena Dunham asking: “Is it over yet?”
