EXCLUSIVE: L’Wren Scott’s longtime maid opens up on death of fashion … – New York Daily News

L’Wren Scott’s longtime housekeeper was at a loss Monday to explain the famous fashion designer’s tragic unraveling, but said the relationship with her rock star boyfriend took a toll.

Lupe Montufar, 57, was the brunette beauty’s full-time housekeeper from 1993 until 2009 and met Scott’s rocker love interest, “Rolling Stones” front man Mick Jagger, many times after the couple started dating more than a decade ago. Montufar said Scott “sacrificed a lot” to be in a relationship with the legendary lothario.

“She would tell me she wanted to get married and have a family, but she didn’t want to get her hopes up or say it out loud to Mick. She didn’t want to pressure him,” Montufar told the Daily News in an exclusive interview at her Los Angeles residence.

“She always dreamed about having fame, fortune and money. She had all that in her hands with him,” she said.

Montufar said she helped take care of Scott when she was sick and never knew her to be clinically depressed.

Scott would get sad sometimes when she didn’t have enough work to occupy her time, but she turned to shopping as her therapy and would quickly recover, the housekeeper said.

She said she lost contact with Scott when the former model sold her Los Angeles house to spend more time in Europe and New York, to be closer to Jagger. Montufar continued to follow Scott’s career in the media.

“She was very loud and fun when she was young, but with Mick she turned more quiet. She used to yell ‘Lupe’ in a fun, boisterous voice, but later it was much softer and more reserved.

“He had her under his spell,” the housekeeper said.
