Fairview Spring Fashion Show Saturday – The Tennessean
Who says there’s never anything fun to do in Fairview? Here’s something: the Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon set for Westview United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 29.
“We’re excited to host what we hope will become a popular annual event and to partner with a new retailer here in Fairview,” says event coordinator Karen Renner. “We want to celebrate the renewing energy of spring and the eternal joy that Easter brings. Adults and children 12 and up are invited to join us for food, fashion, fun and door prizes.”
The show is being held in partnership with Wal-Mart which has outfitted the show with clothing and accessories .
After a short runway the models will circulate through the luncheon area. Molly Abner, Kristen Brison, Selene Cerda, Kathleen Growden, Linda Hall, Jackie Ingle, Brigette Sanders, June Oltendorf, Brittney and Karen Saunders, Cathy Sensing and Ali Fink will showcase ladies’ wear. Models Shelby Carroll, Sarahanne Ferrell, Dawn Mangrum and Nikki Penner handle styles for the teen set. The youngest models are Elle Anderson, Abigail and Zach Cooper, Jade and Paulina Garcia, Adam and Matthew LeMay, Berlin Miller, Bethany and Daniel Penner, Bishop and Hannah Timmons, and James and John Turpin. Several will show off their Easter best.
Area merchants have provided door prizes. The menu promises chicken salad on croissants, frozen cherry salad, mini poppy seed muffins, fresh spring vegetables, plus a generous slice of the Texas Best Ever Chocolate Cake. Beverages include your choice of cranberry punch, coffee or water.
The Fashion Show and Luncheon runs from 11:30 am to 2 pm. Tickets are available for age 12 and up at Walker Books, 2092 Fairview Boulevard, Monday – Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. Cost is $10. Westview United Methodist Church is located at 7107 Westview Drive, across from the recreation center.
