Haunting photos show the colorful ruins of the world’s first purpose built marine stadium where people would watch powerboat racing a half a century ago. The Miami stadium could hold over 6,500 spectators and was also used to film Elvis Presley’s 1967 feature, Clambake. It was designed in 1962 by Hilario Candela, a Cuban immigrant, and closed 1992 due to lack of maintenance. Then it became a hot-spot for street artists….
